Traditional lard soap is an ideal choice for those with sensitive skin.
It’s gentle and creates a rich, creamy lather that cleanses thoroughly without stripping your skin of moisture.
Rich in Vitamins A and E, along with omega-3 fatty acids, lard helps soothe, hydrate, and promote skin renewal—making it perfect for nourishing and restoring your skin’s natural balance.
Discover the simple, natural care of handcrafted soap made the old-fashioned way for a truly soothing and refreshing cleanse.
Olive oil in handcrafted soap creates a smooth, creamy lather that’s deeply moisturizing. Although it takes longer to cure than lard-based bars, when fully cured, it becomes a hard, durable soap that’s perfect for sensitive skin and offers lasting hydration.
The moisturizing power of olive oil comes from oleic acid, which helps lock moisture into the skin, leaving it soft and supple without drying it out.
While it doesn’t produce big, fluffy bubbles, olive oil creates a rich, gentle lather that cleanses effectively while providing lasting conditioning—highlighting its many skin benefits.
Coconut oil is truly the star ingredient in handcrafted soap!
It plays a key role in creating a hard, long-lasting bar with excellent cleansing power, a rich, fluffy lather, and a bright white colour.
Known for its deep-cleaning ability, coconut oil effectively removes dirt and oil while also offering moisturizing benefits that help produce a durable, high-quality soap.
However, using too much coconut oil without balancing it with other oils can lead to dryness, making it less ideal for those with dry or sensitive skin.
Rice Bran oil brings a gentle, nourishing touch that leaves skin feeling soft, smooth, and well-hydrated.
In handcrafted soaps, it offers excellent moisturizing benefits while helping create a creamy lather and adding firmness to the bar.
Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, Rice Bran oil is especially suited for dry, sensitive, and mature skin types.
Sweet Almond oil produces a rich, creamy lather packed with moisturizing benefits, making it especially gentle and nourishing for dry or sensitive skin.
Soaps made with this ingredient feel silky and smooth without being greasy.
Because sweet almond oil is a softer oil, it can soften the bar, so we use it in small amounts alongside firmer oils to boost the soap’s skin benefits while maintaining its strength.
When used in handcrafted soap, Sunflower oil helps create a soft, moisturizing bar with a creamy, conditioning lather and a smooth, silky feel.
High in linoleic acid, it boosts the soap’s moisturizing qualities and skin benefits, making it particularly good for dry and sensitive skin.
We include sunflower oil in small amounts alongside olive oil, rather than replacing it, to enhance the overall formula.

Castor oil is an essential ingredient in handcrafted soap, known for producing a rich, dense lather with large, creamy bubbles. Its excellent moisturizing qualities come from its humectant properties and high ricinoleic acid content, making it a great choice for nourishing the skin.
In addition, Castor oil helps form a protective barrier, adds a natural shine, and supports the stability of lather created by other natural oils.
Like other specialty oils, we use castor oil in smaller amounts alongside the more robust oils and butters in our formula.

Avocado oil provides outstanding moisturizing and conditioning benefits.
It helps produce a rich, creamy lather that leaves skin feeling smooth and silky.
Renowned for its gentle cleansing properties and high concentration of natural nutrients, Avocado oil delivers a variety of skin benefits.
Because of its rising cost, we use avocado oil in smaller quantities alongside the more dominant oils and butters in our blends.

We use Kokum Butter as an alternative to Cocoa Butter in some of our plant based soap recipes.
When incorporated into soap, Kokum Butter helps create a creamy, luxurious lather, enhancing the overall cleansing experience.
It is rich in essential fatty acids that deeply nourish and moisturize the skin, preventing dryness and promoting softness.
It is a non-comedogenic ingredient, meaning it is unlikely to clog pores, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Shea Butter is renowned globally for its numerous skin loving benefits.
A large portion of Shea Butter does not saponify (convert to soap) and remains within the bar, this offers the user extra moisturizing and skin-nourishing benefits.
Shea Butter is a potent natural moisturizer that leaves skin soft and hydrated.
It has anti-inflammatory properties that help to calm irritated skin and can help with conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
It is packed with antioxidants, which may help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and promotes collagen production.
Shea Butter is rich in essential vitamins (A, E, F) and fatty acids that nourish and heal the skin.
Its antioxidants defend the skin against environmental stressors and damage and it can create a protective, breathable barrier on the skin, helping to retain moisture and prevent dryness.
Adding Shea Butter to a soap recipe makes it a great ingredient for those with sensitive skin.

Mineral clays are well-known for their powerful detoxifying properties and skin-enhancing benefits.

French Green Clay

Rose (French Pink) Clay
gets its beautiful pink hue from its high iron oxide content which gives it gentle exfoliating properties while also promoting circulation when applied topically on the skin’s surface- allowing oxygen penetration into cells keeping them healthy while also promoting elasticity.
Red Clay
is rich in iron oxide and helps to stimulate circulation, making it a great addition to soaps designed for mature or dull skin. It also has oil-absorbing properties which can help balance oily skin without stripping it of its natural oils.

Activated charcoal is well-known for its powerful detoxifying and purifying effects.
It can deep clean and detoxify by binding to and pulling out toxins, dirt, oil, and other impurities from deep within the pores.
It can help fight acne by drawing out impurities and excess oil. This can help reduce breakouts and help to prevent new acne-causing bacteria from forming.
It can reduce that shiny greasy appearance by controlling oils and balancing sebum (oil).
Activated charcoal is a gentle exfoliant that can remove dead skin cells reducing the appearance of both blackheads and whiteheads. This process helps to give the skin the appearance of newer, brighter skin, creating a more radiant complexion.
By removing impurities and tightening pores, charcoal soap can make the skin feel firmer and more toned.
Charcoal soaps have added benefits when combined with other ingredients like Aloe Vera or Tea Tree oil that may help to soothe irritated skin.
Charcoal is also known for the ability to absorb odors, this works the same with a charcoal soap in reducing body odors.

Essential oils provide natural fragrances along with therapeutic benefits such as calming, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects. However, because they are volatile, their scents can evaporate quickly, often leaving little to no lasting fragrance on the skin.
To enhance the scent experience, most of our handcrafted soaps use carefully blended essential oils, combining base, middle, and top notes to create subtle, well-rounded aromas that linger longer.
While essential oils are recognized to offer many benefits, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional to ensure they won’t interfere with any medications or treatments you may be using.
Additionally, pregnant women should avoid using essential oils without prior medical advice, as some oils may not be safe during pregnancy.
If you have sensitive skin or allergies, we recommend performing a patch test before use to ensure compatibility.

The fragrance oils we source come from reputable suppliers with consistently high customer satisfaction ratings, ensuring quality and reliability.
These oils are carefully selected for their skin-safe formulations, containing no parabens or phthalates, so you can feel confident using our products.
In addition to being safe, these fragrance oils contribute a stronger, longer-lasting scent to our soaps, enhancing your overall experience.
With an extensive range of scents available, our fragrance oils allow us to create unique seasonal blends as well as popular perfume and cologne-inspired dupes, offering something for every preference.
We listened to our customers wishing for a stronger, longer lasting, scented bar and have integrated these high-quality fragrance oils to bring variety and vibrancy to our handcrafted soaps, ensuring a delightful and memorable scent with every use.
